Excited to announce another one of our stellar long term substitutes is officially back full time in the fall! Mrs. Raiford did wonderful work with our English Language Learners this past year, and she will be working as an interventionist this coming year.

Taryn Duncan came in clutch as a long term substitute last fall. With a smile on her face and encouraging words to all, she helped students drastically improve their reading this year. We are so happy to have her back as a full time staff member for the upcoming year!

You know the drill: Remote Learning again tomorrow, Friday, February 19th. Teachers will be sending zoom links for the required live sessions, and all other work will be posted in Google Classroom.

This week has been a challenging week on many fronts but there has also been a lot of good! Let’s give a shout out to the over 150 custodial and maintenance staff who worked around the clock to keep our buildings in top shape!They worked on frozen pipes, clearing parking lots and sidewalks, plowed snow and maintained the HVAC units. Let’s give a shout out to the Principals and teachers from each building who worked to connect with each family ensuring safety and educational enrichment during this time. We had some fun this week! We loved seeing all the pictures of how families combined education with snow time fun. Tomorrow, Friday February 19 will be a remote teaching and learning day. Let’s finish this week strong, with positive energy and take the time to say thank you and encouraging words to each other. This is what make our community great! Esta semana ha sido una semana desafiante en muchos frentes, ¡pero también ha sido muy bueno! ¡Demos un saludo a los más de 150 conserjes y personal de mantenimiento que trabajaron las veinticuatro horas del día para mantener nuestros edificios en óptimas condiciones! Trabajaron en tuberías congeladas, despejaron estacionamientos y aceras, quitaron nieve y mantuvieron las unidades de HVAC. Demos un saludo a los directores y maestros de cada edificio que trabajaron para conectarse con cada familia para garantizar la seguridad y el enriquecimiento educativo durante este tiempo. ¡Nos divertimos un poco esta semana! Enjoy the snow today, because we’re back to Remote Learning tomorrow (Thursday, February 18th). Students will access lessons and assignments on Google Classroom for all classes tomorrow, and they will attend a live session with a teacher. 6th graders will attend a science class on Zoom, and 7th graders will attend a social studies class on Zoom.

Tomorrow, Thursday February 18, 2021 will be a remote teaching and learning day for the Springdale Public Schools. We hope everyone is enjoying the snow! We love seeing all the creative and fun activities from our families. Stay safe and warm. Springdale Schools Family, Safety of the children and families, faculty and staff of the Springdale School District is our top priority. We are aware of the struggles of families in our community. For the students who are able, please continue to work independently. We will get through this together as a community.  Tomorrow, Wednesday February 17 will be a snow day with no remote teaching and learning. Please look out for each other! 

Tuesday, February 16th is another Remote Learning Day for all teachers and students. All students should attend a live ELA meeting tomorrow on ZOOM and complete the rest of their classwork on Google Classroom.

Due to weather, Springdale Schools will continue remote teaching and learning on Tuesday, February 16th. Students and parents, Monday, February 15th will be a remote learning day. Students should access Google Classroom and email to complete their work for each class. Teachers will be sending links for live MATH lessons tomorrow. Students should attend either the morning or the afternoon session.

Due to inclement weather the Springdale Schools will have a remote teaching and learning day on Monday February 15th unless life safety issues arise in our district such as power outages. All school buildings will be closed and no busses will run. Please follow Springdale School District Social Media for further updates. Be safe and stay warm!
