The new school year comes with changes to how students purchase or receive school meals.
To receive free and reduced meals this year, families must complete an application and qualify. School districts are no longer receiving funding from the federal government that provided free meals to all students.

Blowing Bubbles: Avengers are learning to identify variables in science. Students experiment with a variety of soap mixtures and measure the diameter of the bubble ring left behind.

Welcome to the team, Makenzie Milliken! Ms. Milliken grew up in NWA and graduated from the U of A in December, where she studied anthropology and history. She wen to archaeological field school in Durham, AR and hopes to return as a volunteer someday. Ms. Milliken is enrolled in the MAT program at Henderson State University. When she isn't at school, Ms. Milliken enjoys playing volleyball, going to Bentonville Climb, and taking walks with her dog, Little Bear.

Welcome to the team, Mr. Phillips!
Mr. Phillips grew up in NW Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas. He’s currently finishing his Master of Arts in Teaching from UA-Monticello. He worked as a Building IT at Lakeside Junior High for the past seven years and taught at Lincoln Middle School prior to that. In his spare time, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife, Natali, traveling / visiting historical places, playing with his cat, and watching college football.
