Over the past five days the HBHS Mock Trial team competed at the National Mock Trial Championship. The team performed exceptionally well. Earning 9th out of the United States, territories, and South Korea. Three years ago the Trial Cats placed 36th, last year we were 24th and this year finished top 10. This is the first top 10 from Arkansas since 2000. Each case takes approximately 3 hours to complete with the students participating in multiple scrimmages leading up to the competition start. Followed by four rounds litigated in front of sitting judges with attorneys and judges comprising the juries. In addition to the team award, Aaron Oesterle earned a “Star Witness” award out of the hundreds of witnesses. Aaron portrayed the expert witness “beck,” an AI tech millionaire. A special thanks to our volunteer coaches Monica Wiederkehr from SOI and Alumni Trey Bowerman who volunteer an average of 10 hours a week of afterschool practice throughout the school year. Daniel Caudle serves as the head coach for HBHS Mock Trial. He is dedicated to this program and a wonderful leader for this team. If you see these future legal professionals please offer them a congratulations. Samuel Myers (Lead Attorney) Adreana Perez (Co-Counsel) Caleb whittle (Co-Counsel) Caleb Baker ( Expert Witness) Aaron Oesterle (Expert Witneas) Emily Starkey (Witness) Madalynn Owen (Witness) Winona Watson (Witness) Landric Schnetzinger (Defendent)

🎉 Join us in congratulating Har-Ber High School’s 2025 Teacher of the Year — Ms. Sabrina Garcia! 🎉 Her dedication, passion, and impact on our students and staff have truly made a difference at HBHS. Hear what the Har-Ber community has to say about the incredible influence Ms. Garcia has every day. 💙🐾 "I want to nominate this teacher as Teacher of the Year because of their unwavering dedication, inspiring teaching methods, and the genuine care they show for every student. They go above and beyond to create a positive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed." "I would like to nominate Sabrina Garcia for HBHS Teacher of the Year because of the meaningful impact she has on students and the positive atmosphere she helps create in our school. She consistently builds strong relationships with students, offering support and encouragement that makes a real difference in their day-to-day experience. She is a strong advocate for her students, always looking out for their best interests and making sure they feel heard and valued. Her approachable and supportive nature helps students feel comfortable and motivated, both in and out of the classroom. She also contributes to a positive school culture by going beyond the classroom to support students—often taking extra steps to advocate for them when challenges arise. Whether it's checking in individually, collaborating with staff to ensure students' needs are met, or simply being a consistent, caring presence, she helps create a welcoming environment where students feel supported and empowered. Her commitment to students and the school community makes her a great candidate for this recognition." "I want to nominate her because no matter what needs to be done, even if it’s not math related, and even if it’s not work related, if anyone needs anything, she is always there to jump in and help. She also has a big heart and drive for these kids. She wants everyone to feel represented and make everyone feel welcome. She turned her classroom into a home where everyone feels like family. She’s such a blessing to harber. I am blessed to be able to work with her. She absolutely deserves this award." "Because she provide individualized support, she helped us build our confidence and to achieve our goals." "This teacher has been a huge help to me throughout my sophmore and junior year. She inspires me to be the better version of myself."
